Johnny Depp and the ‘Public Enemies’ trailer Ever since I started putting together this summer movie sneak peek in January, “Public Enemies” was the one trailer I really wanted to see. Johnny Depp as bank-robbing legend John Dillinger. Outstanding. Dillinger was a charismatic bad guy, endearing to the public even though he was essentially stealing their money and shooting up their neighborhoods. Is there a more perfect actor to play the role than Depp? He can pretty much take any character and make the audience like him. Depp = Dillinger is a great equation, even though there’s really no math to be done there. It even helps you look past the fact that Depp’s antagonist in the movie is played by Christian Bale. The Universal Studios movie also stars Academy Award winner Marion Cotillard (“La Vie En Rose”), and it hits theaters July 1. www.blacktree.tv
